Multnomah County Approves Wood Smoke Curtailment Rule

Multnomah County officials sought public input on rules that would restrict burning on certain days in winter and fall. In January, the board of commissioners approved the rule. OHPBA attended a public hearing and made comments on December 7 before the Multnomah County Commissioners. Click HERE for more information on the rule.

Federal Wood Stove Stove Tax Credit (25C) Extended for 2017, not 2018

The $300 dollar-for-dollar credit is only good for a stove that's at least 75 percent efficient and purchased and installed before December 31, 2017. Consumers should consult a tax professional about how to claim the credit if they made a qualifying purchase in 2017. Oregon Residential Energy Tax Credits to Sunset after 2017
